For a while now Nathan has said that he wants to be a giraffe when he grows up. So I was surprised tonight at bedtime when he asked me what I thought he should be. I said that I thought he wanted to be a giraffe. He told me that he'd decided that he wants to be a robot instead. Cool!
We actually started this little conversation because I asked Nathan if he wanted to be a famous chef. He made dinner for us all tonight as a surprise. He made us all stay out of the kitchen, wouldn't let us know what he was doing (except for telling us that it was going to be a scrumptious surprise), poured cereal and milk for all of us -- even pouring each of us our favorites instead of just the same for everyone. He is so very thoughtful when he slows down long enough.
So, I thought maybe he'd want to be a chef and wear a hat like Ratatouille ... but a robot would be great, too.
