Every spring we get hundreds of caterpillars in our yard. Mary-Kensley calls them "cadapiddas." This year the kids have really enjoyed catching a bunch of them. A few days ago Nathan had caught 5 or 6 and had them in a plastic cup. He had just finished showing them to me and was walking back outside with them when he looked in the cup and said, "Aw, the caterpillars are being nice to me. They made a cross in the bottom of the cup for Jesus." Elaine and I just smiled at each other. I guess we're doing some things right.
